During your stay, you will have exclusive use of the herb garden surrounded by a tall yew hedge for privacy, with cobbled paths, and a wrought iron table, chairs and a parasol so you can dine alfresco. You're welcome to bring one small/medium-sized dog for a charge of £25.

A private gate at the side takes you down a path to Broad Street, which leads round to Market Hill where you can get delicious pastries from Pump St Bakery in the morning and eat or drink at one of the pubs or restaurants; and down to the Quay in the opposite direction.

GUEST COMMENTS
"What a gem the Little House. It was a wonderful place to unwind in and so very peaceful. We plan to return."

"A lovely stay in 'Little House' - a perfect way to slow the pace down from a busy few months. Bird song in the morning, lovely walks, great local pubs, and well-equipped accommodation."

"Many thanks for a lovely stay in the Little House. There is everything we hoped for and more. Thank you for all the small touches too; the towels shaped as swans, washing tablets left easily accessible etc. Of course, Orford is beautiful and we could only feel a sense of the opportunities and history here."

We had a fantastic stay at The Little House. It’s beautifully designed, spotless, and had everything we needed for a perfect break. Every detail felt thoughtfully put together, and the garden space was a lovely bonus. The location is ideal — peaceful, tucked away, and just a short walk to Pump Street Bakery, the pubs, and the quay. We felt relaxed from the moment we arrived and loved our stay. We’d happily return!

Orford is the ideal place to spend an early summer long weekend, eating & walking around - we couldn't recommend it enough. The little house was very well located in the village close to everything, and really well equipped & comfortable with everything you'd need for a weekend away. However the instructions for arrival are confusing, and instead of having direct contact with owners it's all through a letting agent, so be wary to find out the details of where to park & the property location before you arrive because it's not totally obvious. The parking (when we were shown) was quite awkward so would recommend parking on the street, quite inconveniently you can't park in front of the property, or in the car park nearer. Overall comments: the garden is lovely was let down by furniture covered in bird poo. personal touches - EG appreciate real milk not UHT sachets, and less automated messages during the week from the property management about costs for replacement towels etc.

We had a nice, relaxing time visiting Orford and staying at the Little House. The location is excellent and the garden is beautiful and so peaceful. The house itself has everything needed and is very cosy. The weather was very warm and so we really appreciated the AC.

Compact little house. Very clean with all mod cons. Issue with turning on heating resolved quickly. The garden would be lovely in summer (a bit too chilly in early April) A few quibbles - there was a lovely Nespresso machine but no pods- could leave a couple of complimentary ones. Welcome pack a bit ungenerous (2 tea bags, coffee, sugar and UHT milk tubes) most Airbnbs I’ve stayed in leave at least a pint of fresh milk and a few biscuits . It was quite expensive.

The little house is a little hide away, lovely garden and everything you need. an easy walk into the village and plenty of food and drink to be had! It really is lovely surroundings plenty of walks and bird life to see - but worth checking when things are open as Orford Ness has times of the year when it is shut.

A really lovely cosy cabin, perfectly located in picturesque Orford. We had everything we needed to cook and relax in front of the log stove. It felt like a luxurious and spacious shepherd’s hut and was a charming base for our winter stay.
