The town’s long connection to composer Benjamin Britten and its famous Aldeburgh Festival make it a must-visit for culture enthusiasts. Please note there is a scheduled weekly fire alarm test at the property that takes place every Monday at 10am starting on 24th November 2025. This is mandatory for the whole building and the alarm will naturally sound for a few minutes during the testing period.

The location was ideal for four retired people some with limited mobility. The apartment was tastefully decorated. We encountered a few problems but they were not sorted by the time we checked out. We were there for two days. Problem 1 security. The main door to the apartments was wedged open from the time we arrived until we left. I did notify the host but nothing was done about this concern during our stay. Problem 2 shower over bath sprayed in part where it shouldn’t spray. We were concerned that the water could lead to other problems. This was not fixed during our stay. Problem 3 no light bulb in main bedroom ceiling light. Again this was not sorted during our stay. The windows in the apartment need a good clean inside and out. Overall it was a very nice apartment and when the few problems are sorted should not cause future occupiers any worries.

If you are looking for a getaway to The Suffolk Coast, this is ideal: clean, tidy and a great location. Aldeburgh has so much to offer, all within walking distance: it’s superb. We’d recommend hot chocolate on the beach watching the stars! We’d recommend highly.

We enjoyed staying in the flat for a few nights. The flat is laid out nicely with all the appropriate amenities and utensils if you want to cook yourself. The location is lovely and we loved being able to walk down the high street in Aldeburgh. We did have a tad bit of difficulty when we got there as you need to get the key fob before you enter the car park (which is in the car park) to lower the bollard. We also noticed that there were some small gaps by the internal doors where the carpet spikes were (very slightly) exposed where a small child (like ours) could reach in and potentially hurt themselves (she didn't).

Well presented, spacious accommodation with good quantities of crockery, pans etc in the kitchen and excellent instructions on how to use cookwer, heating, wifi etc. In a good central location just minutes from the High Street and the beach too.
