Kiln House was originally built in the 19th century so less mobile guests should be aware that the staircases are a little narrower and slightly steeper than those in more modern homes.
We were working at Snape Maltings and you couldn't find an Airbnb as close to our work.... 100metres..... so the location was perfect. Exceptional clean, very comfortable beds, plenty of hot water and very spacious bathrooms. The kitchen had all mod cons - easy to use .... what more could you ask for... If we ever get the opportunity to work in this delightful area, we'd book it in an instant. Forgot to mention.... the pub is only 70 metres away !!!
The house was easy to find and met the description. The 2 sets of very steep stairs to the bedrooms did present a challenge to some of our party. The kitchen was well equipped and appliances worked well but some of the saucepans need replacing. The Maltings was an interesting place to stay with some lovely walking on the doorstop but sadly there was no public transport.
great location and easy to find. walking distance to a great deli, coffe shop and pub as well as all craft shops and art displays. Bedrooms all well maintained, comfy and the master was very large and bathrooms all excellent. was a hot few days and rooms all had fans. Not sure if the property had been unused for a while as downstairs had a slight smell but cleared after opening windows for a while.
lovely stay
The scenic views are beautiful, the house was excellent, and the surroundings are absolutely 10/10.”
We found Kiln House to be comfortable and well equipped and especially appreciated the welcome pack and the fact that basics such as dishwasher tabs were provided. We also loved the location: it was easy to walk out from the house along the river, a good cafe and pub were minutes from the front door, we found a local court for playing tennis and it was quick and easy to visit delightful places on the coast. We would definitely go back.
Our second stay and just as good as the first.
Great host and accommodation and would highly recommend
We had a great stay at Kiln House. The property is exactly as described and we would definitely stay here again!

This was our second stay here. Had a super time. Perfect for going to concerts at the Maltings and beautiful walks. Kitchen had everything we needed but also had lots of options at the Maltings - deli, 2 cafes, restaurant - and so much choice in Aldeburgh. Beds very comfortable and rooms spacious. Thank you so much, Barry, especially for being flexible on check in/out - it meant a lot and we really appreciated it
