1 baths You’re welcomed into the hallway of this open plan home, with space for coats and footwear before moving to the lovely light and airy living/kitchen dining room, well-designed for indoor/outdoor living with doors opening to the patio.
Kitchen units wrap around one side with a central island giving extra workspace and overlooking the dining table and chairs. Appliances include a waist height oven, a fridge/freezer (three shelves and a veg drawer in the fridge, three drawers in the freezer), a Dualit coffee machine (which takes thimble Nespresso pods), a microwave, dishwasher, washer/dryer, and the essential kettle and toaster.
The sitting area has a massive sofa, and chairs positioned so you can enjoy the warmth from the wood burner and/or the TV.
BEDROOM ONE
Sitting quietly at the back of the house with a double bed between bedside drawers and additional storage in a wardrobe and a chest of drawers. A quaint window seat invites you to relax with a good book.
JACK AND JILL BATHROOM
Doors off the hall and the bedroom give the option of privacy for the guests in bedroom one as an en-suite, or easy access for all guests.
This chic modern bathroom has a double shower cubicle with a hand-held shower, a bath, wash basin with plenty of storage, WC, heated towel rail (with towels supplied for all guests), and natural light.
BEDROOM TWO
A zip and link king sized bed here gives you the option of a double or twin configuration with the singles being 2’6”, more suited to children than adults. There’s room to unpack and settle in with a wardrobe and a chest of drawers.
BEDROOM THREE
This single room has a sturdy bed with a drawer beneath it and there’s a desk with a chair for guests needing to work from home and there are cupboards in the hallway for clothes.
CLOAKROOM
Conveniently located for guests in bedrooms two and three, simply with a wash basin and toilet.
OUTSIDE
Dogwood Cottage is set back from the road with a gravel drive giving space for three vehicles, and there’s a lovely garden, grassed with an attractive border of shrubs and flowers, and a large patio furnished with outdoor furniture and a BBQ. There are some fantastic footpaths and cycle routes on the doorstep and a secure bike shed in the garden.
Sudbourne is ideal for exploring the area, just three miles from Snape Maltings and the historic gem of Orford with it’s castle, quay and great eateries; and from the seaside town or Aldeburgh.
