The front door of this iconic Grade II listed mid-terraced house takes you into a communal hall with a staircase to the private apartment door on the first floor. There’s a feeling of decadence throughout the property with rich colours, luxurious fabrics, and an eclectic mix of artwork. The landing runs to the living/dining room to the right and the bedrooms, bathroom and kitchen to the left.
LIVING/DINING ROOM
Soak up the sea view from the window seat in this graceful reception room, or step out onto the balcony to make the most of the sea breezes too. Designed for relaxation, the room’s furnished with a deep sofa, chairs, and coffee tables, a SKY TV in the corner, and the modern wood-burning stove. If you choose to dine at home there’s a circular table and four chairs – and plenty of take-aways to choose from close by if you’d rather not cook!
KITCHEN
Compact but with everything you need to prepare and enjoy meals at home. There’s an electric oven with separate grill and four ring hob, a microwave, toaster, kettle, under counter fridge with an ice compartment, and a dryer (sorry no washing machine).
MAIN BEDROOM WITH EN-SUITE SHOWER ROOM
A double bed takes pride of place in this elegant bedroom where there’s a chest of drawers and wardrobe so you can unpack and settle in, plus a dressing table and chair.
EN-SUITE SHOWER ROOM
A pretty room with rain shower head in the cubicle, a wash basin, WC, heated towel rail (towels will be provided for all guests), and natural light.
DOUBLE BEDROOM
Overlooking Wentworth Road and the church beyond, this attractive room is furnished with a double bed, bedside cupboards and additional storage in a wardrobe and chest of drawers. There’s a fire escape from this room in case of emergency.
BATHROOM
Conveniently off the landing, this sunny shower room has a shower cubicle, a wash basin set into a vanity unit, a WC, heated towel rail, and natural light.
OUTSIDE
Located in arguably the best location in town, Market Cross Place borders the promenade with some unrestricted parking available in front of the terrace. You’ll literally be staying steps from the beach for your morning swim, to play a game of boules, or to pick up some fresh fish from one of the seaside huts. The heart of town with its wonderful eateries, independent shops, cinema, galleries, etc. is just round the corner.
There is no provision for electric vehicles, so we recommend you stop at Friday Street at Snape on your way to Aldeburgh to recharge.

We’ve decided this is the best end of town to stay! Free parking and directly overlooking the sea. The balcony was great, the front room very large and bright. We liked the layout of the flat, that if multiple people were staying here you wouldn’t feel on top of one another.

Beautiful apartment and great location. Was able to enjoy my morning cuppa on the balcony watching everyone walk past, was the perfect location. Plenty of parking outside the apartment, we never had an issues. One of the reasons we booked this apartment was for the log burner but was very disappointed there were no facilities to have one. We brought our own wood, but the grate was empty (no starter pack included), nothing to light it with or companion set to stoke the fire once started. Nothing mentioned about it in the welcome pack so I felt it was a bit deceiving advertising it. Saying this, the heating was great and didn’t take long to warm up. A two min walk to the centre of the village and about a 40min to a cafe in Thorpeness. Bedding and towelling lovely, couldn’t fault it. Unlike a lot of other Airbnb apartments we’ve stayed in, this “welcome pack” only provided two teas and two coffee sachets, so make sure you take your own. Extra charges for late check in/out!!

A beautiful spot! The living room is just perfect with the view out to the sea. If you’re lucky like us you’ll get a beautiful sunrise as you drink your morning coffee. Great for travellers with young kids too as no stairs once you’re inside! Would recommended.

We’ve been coming to Aldeburgh for years and stayed in many houses and apartments. We loved this for its location and view with easy walking distance to restaurants and shops. The apartment is just my style comfortable cosy and the decor suits my Bohemian taste lots of eclectic artwork adorns the walls with a nod to Indian and Morocco and French chateau pieces! There was everything we needed and each bedroom had a lovely comfortable bed pillows and duvets and each had its own bathroom. You did not need a degree to work out the oven and microwave it was simple and easy to use! Lovely round table for ambient dining and a window seat to enjoy the view and watch the world go by. Squidgy comfortable sofa and comfy armchairs were perfect as the weather was cold so we were warm and comfortable in our little haven! We will definitely come back again.
