Beautiful surroundings, very peaceful but incredibly frustrated by the poor TV signal - we missed England’s quarter final match and the Wimbledon final: not great for two sports mad folk. Anticipate watching programmes on your ‘phone. The proximity of the Alde cafe is a real bonus - shame it isn’t a seven day a week operation although the supermarkets are handy for the site. Would also recommend Two Magpies in town. Disappointed to find a dirty sock under the settee - it is not a huge property to clean. Would be helpful to have condiments available - we left salt and vinegar sachets.

Second time we have stayed at this spot, its the perfect distance from the beach so away from the crowds, but only a 10 minuet walk to the village and beach. Amazing for dogs as the area is completely fenced in. great little cabin with everything that you need.

The lodge was in beautiful surroundings but also very close to the town.

Lovely location overlooking the Alde estuary. Secluded and peaceful. The lodge was spotlessly clean and perfect for taking our dog to with its enclosed field. The Alde Cafe which is a 2 minute walk away is fantastic for breakfasts and just a short walk further are two convenience stores, The Railway pub and the community centre that serves food.

amazing hut with a great porch. was more than big enough for 2 people and 2 dobermans. good size shower. outside space was fantastic. Fenced in all the way around, very secure for the dogs. Amazing views of the cows and wildlife all the way down to the river. 15 minute walk to the beach, so close enough to feel right there but far enough away you can't hear any noise from the road and other people.

Lovely little find this place, stunning views with everything you need inside the cabin. Being dog friendly really helps us and there’s lovely walks to beach to take them. I think we make it an annual trip now we’re that happy.
