OUTSIDE
The surroundings are absolutely stunning and would please even the most well-travelled walkers and cyclists! A gate opens from the road to a drive with plenty of parking space. French doors open to the terrace running along the front which has a table and chairs with cushions so that you can rustle up a meal on the BBQ (please bring charcoal) and eat outside during the warmer months. At the back is a lovely sloped paddock with stunning views overlooking the ancient water meadows and a magnificent oak tree with a swing or, for the less adventurous, there's a bench and small table encouraging you to take your sundowners or morning coffee to the top of the hill and soak up the amazing scenery.
Ufford is a favoured rural village. Famed for its medieval church with rare font cover; there are also two excellent pubs, The Crown gastro-pub and The White Lion, community pub of the year 2012 and The Greyhound in Pettistree is also worth a visit.
Lovely property - ideal holiday accommodation. Light, airy and clean, everything you need provided. Good quality fixtures and fittings. Two good pubs in the village - one more of a locals’ pub but friendly (White Lion) - beer direct from the barrel and nice food. The second (the Crown) ‘gastropub’ with lovely food. Take a torch when walking back - it’s dark!
Perfect in every way, lovely peaceful location , great holiday accommodation, highly recommend.
An absolutely beautiful facility. Spotless, well equipped comfortable. The surrounding countryside is an added bonus. The most amazing views in every direction.
A home from home. Felt secluded, special and exclusive. Everything as described. Spacious shower enclosure in a generous sized bathroom compared to others. Everywhere light and bright and easy to ventilate. Great to have private parking on property. Thoughtful supplies of tea, milk, cookies on arrival and a bottle of wine for later! Bedroom very spacious with generous hanging space in fitted wardrobe. Would highly recommend and many thanks to Sally ( who lives locally) for her diligence, superb garden beds and thoughtful communication.
We had a lovely stay at Hill Stables, it was very peaceful and relaxing - we would definitely love to return in the future and do more exploring.
We had a delightful and comfortable 3 night stay in Hill Stables in June. This lovely property is just as described and is as shown in the photos. We received very clear instructions before our stay on the property's location and accessing the property via a key safe. It was very clean and well equipped and had nice seating areas, both inside and outside. It is in a quiet location, perfect for exploring the local area - we visited Flatford Mill, Dedham, Sutton Hoo, Southwold and Aldeburgh. We wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if we return to Suffolk. Thank you too for the lovely welcome pack of wine, milk and biscuits, which were much appreciated.
This is a very well thought out cottage, comfortable and clean, with everything we needed. The outside area is also very pleasant. We felt very much at home and hope to return soon when visiting family.
Fantastic little barn at the end of a quiet lane but with walks across the fields to the village and local pubs. We loved the White Lion, very friendly, and a proper pub. Food was good and well cooked by a young chef. The barn had everything you could need, everything you could think of, and it was beautifully built and furnished. We loved the location, Ufford is a beautiful village and near enough to the A12 to get to Aldeburgh, Minsmere and Walberswick. We love Suffolk and will be back, and would love to stay here again
We couldn't have asked for a nicer place to stay, or a more friendly host. There was a welcome bottle of wine, and milk and biscuits to greet us. Surrounded by beautiful countryside, we could walk to the two local pubs to eat, though everything needed to cook in house was provided. There are so many places to visit within a short drive. Hill Stables suited us perfectly and we will definitely return in the future.

Hill stables is a beautiful property set in an equally beautiful location. Property was well equipped and presented and host anticipated all our needs. Local walks started from the doorstep and so much more within twenty to thirty minutes . Tried the white lion for food and drink and we were not disappointed Would happily stay here again
