Hired Woodland Lodge for members of our family as we needed additional accommodation for a milestone birthday. For adults and young children including a 6 month old baby it was ideal. Very well appointed throughout.
Tastefully decorated accommodation a short walk into town. The beds were comfortable in the kitchen was well equipped with everything that you need. We really enjoyed our day at this property.
We enjoyed the amount of space the property offered inside and the enclosed outdoor space was great for our dogs. Unfortunately, due to time of year, the outdoor space was unusable on one of the evenings due to a high volume of flying ants. For the price of the property, it did not quite meet our expectations in terms of quality and experience. However, overall we still had great stay and enjoyed our time in Suffolk.
Lovely stay, ideal location, sociable living space staying with friends and dogs. Had everything we needed, very clean. Would stay here again.
We had a fantastic stay. Bunglow was amazing. Everything you could want in the kitchen. Bedrooms were stunning. Overall had a great time. Would defiantly go back to this accommodation.
Thank you!
Had a lovely stay! Lodge is in a great location, close to Aldeburgh and a good base for exploring the area. Very well equipped and furnished to a high standard.
Perfect location for exploring Aldburgh Thorpness and surrounding areas. Small supermarkets 2 minutes away aswell as very nice pubs restaurants and all other amenities. Lodge kitted out with every requirement especially the kitchen.
Great stay. House was very well equipped for Christmas cooking and had lovely Christmas decorations. Spacious house but warm and cosy with very comfortable beds.

The lodge is tastefully decorated, the bedrooms are immaculate with great furnishings. The kitchen is very well equipped. It’s a great property offering a large space on one level, perfect for accessibility. However we found it to be dirty and very hot. We had to ask for the cleaners to come out and clean the floors which they did but our 11 month old discovered a hard dog treat underneath the sitting room chair. Luckily she did not eat it! There was still lots of debris underneath the sofas. Also there are lots of cellar spiders and cobwebs inside the property. The exterior could do with some attention as there are lots of cobwebs, dead bugs and insects. The lodge is equipped with fans which are needed as it gets extremely hot - rooms fluctuating 25-27 degrees and we visited on the lesser hot days of August. Overall the lodge was lovely and we had a great stay but it needs a thorough inspection and clean. The staff were helpful in locating and posting baby clothes that I forgot.
