I had a wonderful time in Middleton, the accommodation was lovely and the owners very welcoming. The locals were very friendly and made me feel like I was a local too. I shall be heading back soon.

A wonderful comfortable place to stay in a beautiful village walking distance to Minsmere RSPB reserve. Well appointed and very comfortable. Loved its quirkiness. Very friendly owners on site. It's a shame The Bell pub wasn't open at all during our stay but we recommend the Eel's Foot in Eastbridge a local alternative.

Beautiful old building with lots of character and charm making it an absolute joy to stay in. My third visit- as a solo traveler I feel very safe here. Middleton is such a great base for exploring nearby Walberswick and Dunwich.

Beautiful location. Clean, cosy cottage with well-equipped kitchen. The only drawback was very poor WiFi which meant that working virtually and accessing the internet to watch a film etc (there's no TV) was tricky. Georgina the tortoise was a lovely bonus.

I had the most amazing stay. The village is picturesque and storybook like. The nearby pub offered great food and local entertainment when I stayed. The Wash House is full of vintage charm and was such a comfortable stay. I loved every moment that the peaceful dwelling provided for me. It's cosy and super comfortable, I read my book on the sofa and relaxed on the bed, catching up on my tv shows. Though I didn't cook during my stay, there's plenty of cookware to make your meals. I loved every bit of my stay, and would happily recommend!

Our three nights in the Wash House were completely perfect! It was the coziest, most charming place, and even though we were there for work it felt like a truly peaceful holiday. We loved the wood burner, the decor, bedroom skylight, and Georgina the tortoise most of all!

We had a peaceful stay at The Washroom. It's a beautiful little conversion and, in so many ways, just right. Inside the property is charming and rustic. It's very cosy, but there is ample downstairs space for two people. The welcome hamper was a lovely touch, and the fire had been set ready for us to light. The sink is small and hard to brush your teeth in. The shower is a dribble, but at least it was hot. The staircase is extremely steep and very difficult to navigate if carrying bags up or down. On the way up you immediately meet the sloping roof and have to bend your body sideways. The bed fits snuggly in the sloped roof such that getting in and out of it requires additional contortions. Going to the toilet in the dark of the night is for the brave. We found the mattress uncomfortable. It was very hard and you could feel the springs in your back. We both came away with aches and tired from poor sleep, which is a shame when you're escaping for a relaxing break from the kids (we ha
