Outside:
Fully enclosed rear garden with outdoor dining table and chairs, perfect for enjoying an evening meal in the long summer evenings. There are also deck chairs and beach stuff in the shed and plasticware for the beach / garden in the kitchen cupboards.
Parking:
Parking is a huge asset in Aldeburgh and there is a designated space at the side of the house.

Clean and spacious with a well equipped kitchen. Nice patio seating area. Located in a small estate about half a mile from the sea, very close to Tesco and Coop. It was the perfect place for a few days together with my family.

A well-proportioned three floor house, great for exploring Aldeburgh and the surrounding areas. Plenty of room for four adults, a teenager and a small dog. Well stocked kitchen and four toilets/bathrooms, which meant no queuing in the mornings! Neat rear garden with furniture and parking for two cars a bonus. Bit too far for us to walk into town as we had older people in our party but i estimate it would take about 20 minutes. We chose to drive and there was plenty of "two hour free parking" spaces available. Two small supermarkets and a lovely, local pub within easy walking distance. Unfortunately, when we arrived the property wasn't as clean as we had hoped - unsure if it had been cleaned between guests. However, after a call, email and visit to Stay in Suffolk's local office we were able to arrange an emergency kitchen clean.

This rental was excellent in many respects. However we were plagued by ants in the kitchen and especially on the work surface for the whole of our 4 nights stay. There is ant repellant spray in the kitchen but we felt this is an issue which needs to be resolved at source by the owners. Also, the quality of the bed linen and the bedding was disappointing. Poorly fitting polyester cotton sheets and pillow slips together with a duvet too small for the king size bed (double rather king size I am assuming) . It is many years since we have had to sleep on polyester cotton sheets anywhere. We also found a dirty sheet in one of the linen baskets. Finally the freezer is so iced over it was extremely difficult, basically impossible, to use. These issues suggest to me that Stay in Suffolk are not paying enough attention to detail in their management of this holiday rental property.

We had a wonderful family weekend at the Salty Dog. It was the perfect location for walking into the beautiful town of Aldeburgh, the wonderful beach and lovely local restaurants which specialise in freshly caught fish. The property was beautifully and all the bedrooms were spotlessly clean and comfortable. Directions to the property were accurate and the key safe was easily accessible. A fantastic property which we would be delighted to recommend and would very much enjoy staying there again. Thank you. Sean and Sue.
