The space
Step into the welcoming entrance hall with coat pegs and a boot rack to leave all your bags, coats and shoes.
To the right is the open plan lounge / kitchen / dining room.
The cosy lounge is bright and airy and has a sofa and two armchairs, Smart TV and a log burner (NOT IN USE UNTIL THE WINTER). Step down to the kitchen and window seat, perfect spot to sit and enjoy your morning coffee looking out to the beautiful garden, and church in the background.
The fully equipped kitchen has a 4-ring gas hob and electric oven, a dishwasher, under counter fridge and freezer, microwave, toaster and kettle.
Windows run along the front of the cottage making this a bright and airy space.
To the left hand side of the entrance hall is the downstairs bathroom with a bath and shower over, hand basin, WC and heated towel rail.
Upstairs there are two bedrooms:
Bedroom one is a generous sized room with a double bed, two bedside tables, dressing table and chairs. Windows looking out to the garden bring in lots of natural light.
Step up to bedroom two which has two twin beds and a velux window. Just outside the bedroom is a small area with hanging rail and storage. There is a stair gate at the top of the stairs used for blocking off the stairs
Outside there is private secluded garden, at the end of the main garden for exclusive use by guests. The garden is mainly laid to lawn with trees and shrubs.
There is another exit at the side of the cottage that brings you out to the high street, so the ideal location for the beach and the shops and restaurants.

The house is in a fantastic location. We had the common directly behind us, which was ideal for easy dog walks, and the high street was just a few steps away. Despite being so central, it was lovely and peaceful. We weren’t quite sure what to expect from the description of a “shared garden”. The accommodation is actually a small, detached annex next to the main house. The main house was unoccupied during our stay, which meant we had plenty of privacy, but I think I would have felt less comfortable if it had been occupied, as the garden and outdoor space are shared and the annex is overlooked. The annex itself is small and functional rather than particularly cosy, especially if you’re unlucky enough to have wet weather during your stay. That said, the fantastic location really does make up for this, and it was a convenient base for exploring the area with the dogs.

We would like to say thank you for the wine and the crackers, which, unfortunately we couldn't have. The cottage is in a fantastic location with a big garden that our dog enjoyed exploring. A very short walk round the back takes you onto the High Street in Southwold. There are lots of lovely shops and plenty of places to eat. Coming back in the evenings the cottage was a quite place to relax.

We loved our stay here! There was a lovely little village which had a fish and chips shop, some restaurants, cafes and shops. We also went for long walks in the surrounding countryside which was a great circular route.

The Cottage is located in a peaceful spot with a garden right off the high street. A perfect location for walking to the shops and beach Compact but comfortable and spotlessly clean. Our host Lottie was responsive and friendly.

The cottage was largely as described. The instructions provided to locate the cottage could be better- we arrived in the dark and it was tricky to find- and the actual front door wasn't obvious. It had everything we needed for our stay and was well stocked with cleaning equipment etc, but I would have expected it to be cleaner, there was dog hair in various places and cobwebs. Also, the shower was frustratingly intermittent hot and cold. Overall, it was pleasant
