Lovely stay at the Bolt hole - whilst entertaining children in poor weather there may have been a stretch, as a summer base to access the beach and Southwold itself it was great - it is highly likely we will be back again
The description of the cottage was accurate and was v homely. It was clean and the sitting room furniture was comfy as were the beds. Plenty of v hot water. It is quite adequate for a couple We love Southwold and it was fun staying in a different area although the whole town is within easy walking distance. The fabric of the cottage is a bit tired but that is part of its charm. Down side - couldn't get the main oven to function - neither could our 21 yr old techy grandson when he dropped in to see us!!!!! Yes we would return
We had such a relaxing stay at The Bolt Hole, it was perfectly placed for the beach, walking to the quay, the town and restaurants. We were delighted with everything and were able to fully switch off. Our 5 year old daughter loved having a sink in her room. The addition of the optional baby gate for the room was ideal for our little sleep walker. Thank you for having us to stay.
Lovely stay we will be back.
Perfect stay.. such a beautiful spot .. amazing location. Would love to come back!
This little cottage is gorgeous and very well situated - we loved the fact it was on the edge of the town so really easy to get to the shops, pubs and restaurants but this meant it was also very quiet and peaceful and it felt like we were already on the way to the harbour which we absolutely loved walking to - either through the sand dunes or across the footpaths in the fields. Also loved being just a couple of mins walk from the beach. Cottage is as advertised, especially in relation to the stairs - we were absolutely fine with them but do heed the warning. Very well stocked kitchen. Very cosy in the evenings!
Very good
A lovely small and quirky cottage, which was as we expected. (Read the description carefully) We had a lovely stay enjoying the location and surroundings! We were lucky enough to have lots of warm sun too! Thank you.
Convenient location. Cosy. Typical stairway for a cottage of its age (may be challenging to some). All very clean, tidy and the property is equipped with all you need.

The Bolthole cottage had a lovely comfortable homely feel and we were at ease as soon as we opened the front door. We are not used to stairs and they are advertised as steep but we found the handrail and rope very helpful and we would stay in this charming cottage again.
