3 bedrooms

2 baths You step into the light and airy living room with 2 large sofas, a pouffe and a dining table and chairs that seats 8. There is also a wood burner, to snuggle up in front of, on those chilly winter nights. There is a Smart TV with Freeview channels, a NOW TV stick and a DVD player and a large selection of books, DVDs and games for you to enjoy during your stay.
This leads into the fully-equipped compact kitchen with a free standing electric hob with oven, 2 fridges and a small freezer, dishwasher, microwave, washing machine, kettle and toaster. A door leads out to the small yard where there is a table and a couple of chairs so you can sit and enjoy your breakfast, as this is a sun-trap in the mornings.
Also on the ground floor is a shower room with a walk in shower cubicle, WC, sink and heated towel rail.
On the first floor there are 2 bedrooms and a family bathroom.
Bedroom 1 has a king size bed, bedside tables, fitted wardrobes, a chair and a vanity seat and mirror. Bay windows look out over the High Street.
Bedroom 2 has a double bed (but can be made as twins if requested well in advance, please note that the beds will be 2ft 6inches so are more suited to children than adults), bedside tables and a large wardrobe.
The bathroom is light and airy with a large roll-top bath with mixer taps in the centre, WC, sink and heated towel rail.
Bedroom 3 is in the attic space with twin beds. The large velux window on the attic stairs makes this a lovely light and airy space. The stairs up to the attic room are quite steep and narrow, so may not be suitable for very young or elderly guests. There is a TV in the room so makes a great snug for the kids to escape to.
Oriel Cottage is perfectly located in the middle of the High Street, yet set back off the pavement by railings giving you privacy from the hustle and bustle of people visiting this popular town. Aldeburgh is a historic town by the beach with lots going on and plenty to do; restaurants with great food, shops, a cinema, music, culture, sailing club, golf and tennis, as well as local walks and relaxing on the beach.
Please be aware that only 1 pet is allowed unless permission is granted for 2 before booking.
Great bolt hole for our three night stay. Really good location and The Suffolk restaurant is right next door which is is so nice. Lovely stay.
Delightful little cottage in prime position for local amenities. Had everything we needed and very comfy beds. We did however find the third bedroom a bit of a struggle to access as we were a family of 6 adults. Room has winding stairs and limited head space so definitely more suitable for a family with young children as in the hosts description.
This cottage was great for our midweek friends' getaway. Well located in the middle of the High Street, close to pubs, shops, cafes and a 2 minute walk from the beach. The cottage is well appointed and was clean and tidy throughout. The top bedroom is a little tight on the stairs and has limited headroom due to sloping ceiling, but is otherwise a spacious comfortable room. It would have been handy to have an additional key. Only 1 was provided, which was a little limiting. In all, we had a great stay!! We had a lovely stay!
Perfect location and beautiful spacious home. Worked perfectly for 2 adults and 3 kids
The house was perfectly situated in the middle of the high street and near the beach. Just what we needed for a weekend getaway by the sea.
A wonderful cottage in the most beautiful seaside town. Really comfortable, cute decor, well equipped. Would highly recommend.
We enjoyed a few days in the cottage in a very central location. The kids enjoyed walking to the point where we could walk the dog on the beach (summer restrictions with dog) which wasn’t too far. The had fun on the beach and I enjoyed not having to deal with sand on the dog or the kids 😂 I paid to park in the area behind the cottage for a few days, I think it worked out about £25 for 3 days and always a space available. All in all a great stay and would recommend 👍
Great! Perfect location and lovely space.
Fantastic location, comfortable stay and straightforward check in.

It was a delight to stay right in the centre of Aldeburgh. A lovely cottage where we felt at home once we stepped inside. Very well equipped and hardly any rain for our stay It was a return visit after about 15 years but thankfully nothing has changed. We hope to return soon.
