Fantastic light and airy open plan double height living space. Seating area is furnished with an Ercol sofa, retro 70s chair cosy love seat, dresser housing cards and games with Smart TV on top and occasional tables.
Dining area – French Cherry table with matching chairs.
Well-equipped kitchen with long counter where friends/family can sit on sturdy bar stools chatting to the ‘chef’. Integrated fridge, freezer, waist height oven and microwave, ceramic hob with extractor and a dishwasher.
Study
Great additional space for some peace and quiet, with a sofa and couple of tables.
Ground floor bedroom
King size bed, bedside drawers, extra drawer unit, an easy chair and school chair giving a nod to the history of the house!
Bathroom
Fabulous modern bathroom. L-shaped bath has a rain and hand held shower heads, WC, washbasin set in a vanity unit and a heated towel rail.
Upstairs
Relatively steep wooden stairs with bannister rise to the first-floor gallery (the reason why children under the age of five are not permitted to stay here).
Main Bedroom
The king size bed takes pride of place between bedside units. There’s masses of space for you to unpack with an enormous walk in wardrobe and a Scandi-style dressing table with stool.
En-Suite
Luxurious hotel style shower room with twin basins, WC and a huge walk-in shower with both rain and hand-held shower heads.
Outside
There are two allocated parking places for guests to the right of the building and a bench so you can sit outside at the front of the house.

A fantastic three night stay at The Old School. I would thoroughly recommend this holiday home for many reasons. We found it to be extremely clean, comfortable, spacious, well equipped, in a great location (we particularly liked Snape Maltings, Aldeburgh & Thorpeness) and lastly, the host left informative and helpful instructions. I would be very happy to recommend this place to anyone looking for a holiday in the area. Thank you for making our stay so enjoyable!

Nous avons passé une semaine dans cette maison pleine de caractère, une ancienne école rénovée avec soin. Le logement, à la fois authentique et moderne, offre tout le confort nécessaire dont deux chambres spacieuses avec deux salles de bain indépendantes, parfaites pour un séjour en famille, entre amis ou collègues de travail. Nous avons eu l’opportunité de rencontrer Elizabeth et son mari, les propriétaires. Ils sont des hôtes adorables et accueillants. We had a lovely stay here. The place is beautifully appointed and so thoughtfully decorated and Elizabeth left many helpful notes and guides on the area. The road outside is a little noisy but you can’t hear any of that from the bedrooms so it didn’t disturb us. Would definitely recommend.

We loved our stay in the school house. Absolutely beautiful home in Suffolk. The pictures don't do the scale of the place justice. two very big bathrooms and generous sized rooms, with a perfect communal space for dining and relaxing. The home was absolutely spotless, warmed up easily and was well furnished. The kitchen had everything you needed for the stay too. Couldn't recommend this beautiful home enough!

Worked very well for us as a dormitory for a family weekend based at a house just a few doors down. Facilities are great and we were made to feel very welcome, liked the ambience and history of the Old School; almost everyone we spoke to had been to school there! Quite likely to book again, we are fairly regular visitors.
