At the heart of this quality contemporary holiday home is a spacious and sociable living/kitchen/dining room with wooden floors, beautiful beams and a wood burner in the brick fireplace with a generous sofa, chairs and occasional tables positioned to relax with a good book or watch the TV.
The stylish kitchen sits in one corner of this large room, housing a slimline dishwasher, electric oven with hob and extractor, an under counter fridge, plus the toaster and kettle. A handsome table and chairs are in the other corner for catering at home or simply enjoying a takeaway, with plenty to choose from in town!
This living space opens into the rear hall/utility room and back door leading through the courtyard to Valley Road car park, the front hall and front door to the high street and both bedrooms.
REAR HALL/UTILITY ROOM
Accessed from the back of the apartment and leading through the living space with doors to the bathroom and cloakroom. There’s a washing machine here, a freezer and plenty of room for groceries, push chairs, footwear etc.
FRONT HALL
Yet more space with a console table and access to the high street.
MAIN BEDROOM
A light and airy double aspect room with a super king size bed which can be split into twins if you prefer (be sure to let us know when you book please). Two large wardrobes give plenty of hanging and shelf room to unpack and settle in.
INDIAN BEDROOM
Light streams into this lofty room through sky lights in the high ceiling, and the stunning original Indian wall hanging behind the double bed and the handsome wardrobe immediately catch your attention. Bedside tables sit on either side of the bed and there’s an additional wardrobe in the alcove with ample space for your clothes.
BATHROOM
A generous and pretty bathroom with a feature bath with central taps, a wet room style shower with hand shower attachment, a wash basin, WC and natural light.
OUTSIDE
Old Printing Press is in the heart of Leiston with plenty of shops, eateries, a park, the amazing Edwardian picture house (cinema), and even a leisure centre within walking distance. Seaside towns and villages of Aldeburgh, Thorpeness, Sizewell, Dunwich and Southwold are just a short drive away. There’s no allocated parking for this apartment but you can park in the public car park at the back on Valley Road and walk through the courtyard.
the only slight problem was the threshold between the living room and the bathroom area. I kept tripping on this. I covered this with a mat.
A very enjoyable stay, everything was clean, today and well presented, with great instructions on how to use everything and what was available locally. Would recommend and will return in future I’m sure..
Absolutely stunning place. Very clean, very comfortable and very quiet. Lovely court yard with table and chairs. Car park at back of property. Would definitely stay again!!
A lovely stay in a great location to reach local seaside towns. A little trouble with the key code but was resolved. Very spacious and nicely decorated aparatment
I had a wonderful stay at The Old Printing Press! Bit of a wobbly start as the instructions to get the key weren’t so clear and I’d been given the wrong lockbox code by mistake, but the place itself is incredible spacious, warm and cosy. Loads of storage and wardrobe space, and very comfy bed! The bathroom is fantastic, huge bath and great walk-in shower - a shame that toiletries weren’t included but this was clearly advertised. I would also say that parking outside the home is very limited and the car park was full almost the entire time I was there (thankfully there were some other options on the streets nearby). Overall I had a great time and would love to stay again in future.
A great stay in this apartment, located right in the centre of Leiston. Very spacious with great amenities and extremely comfortable beds. Would definitely stay again.

Nicely equipped kitchen. Thoughtful and tasteful decorations. Great area. A few negatives that aren’t dealbreakers: - Parking difficult at times — car park fills up frequently. - Unable to get the heater to work in the WC, but all other heaters in the flat worked, so the WC remained warm enough. Definitely would repeat here — suits us well, and we hope to be invited back.
