OUTSIDE
Located in arguably the best location in town, the front of the house is on Market Cross, overlooking the sea, literally steps from the beach for your morning swim, and a short walk to the wonderful cafes, bakeries, independent shops, cinema, etc. on the high street. Most guests use the back entrance to the house on Wentworth Road where the garage is and a couple of unrestricted parking places if needed. The garage does have a height restriction of 6ft and two cars can be parking one after the other. There is no provision for electric vehicles so we recommend you stop at Friday Street at Snape on your way to Aldeburgh to recharge.
An alley takes you into the spacious courtyard which is furnished with a couple of generous tables and chairs for outside dining, as well as a table tennis table just waiting for a tournament to start! Please do not use this courtyard after 10pm or before 9am as it is overlooked by neighbouring apartments.
Our group of 10 friends have just returned from a short break in this delightful property. As soon as we entered we knew we would enjoy staying there - it is first class! The furnishings and decor are all very tasteful and high quality and the kitchen is very well equipped. The rooms are all clean, spacious and comfortable and we really enjoyed the courtyard and table tennis - it's a lovely sun trap. Being directly opposite the beach it is in an ideal location - the view from the balcony is beautiful. Highly recommended!
We had a wonderful time at Market Cross House. Such a beautiful location right on the beach with fantastic views and so close to the High St, shops and restaurants. The house is so spacious and worked so well for our large, family group. We would love to come back and stay again.
Excellent location and unique property
A great place to stay in Aldeburgh . The house was very well equipped and very comfortable . We had a great stay.
Great house and location. House was well equipped. Great bedding and mattresses in every room and the each bathroom was beautiful. Would definitely stay here again.
We had a fantastic stay at Market Cross House. Plenty of space for 3 families. The house was clean and well equipped. We were short of a couple of towels on arrival but that was rectified within 5 mins of highlighting. Aldeburgh is a lovely little village with some nice restaurants and pubs, and of course fantastic fish and chips. I would happily return or recommend Aldeburgh and Market Cross House.
Spent a wonderful three nights at Market Cross House on a girls weekend. The house is huge and would easily accommodate 12 people as listed without feeling cramped. Plenty of amenities and spotlessly clean. Only real criticism was the lack of microwave in the kitchen (it is located in the upstairs kitchen two floors up!) however I have raised this with Stay in Suffolk and is hopefully being addressed The property overlooks the beach and is within a stones throw of all the shops, restaurants, cafes etc. Can highly recommend 'Regatta' for an evening meal 👌 Would definitely stay again.
Gorgeous Aldeburgh, gorgeous house.......absolutely perfect for a multi-generational celebratory holiday. Thanks so much!
The house really is brilliant. You couldn't ask for a better location. You're on the beach within 30 seconds. The house is huge, it's ideal for a big group or a big family get together. I would highly recommend.

This is an excellent house, in a perfect location. We were a group of six golfers and everything we needed was on hand and the kitchen extremely well stocked and a very good size. The property is spacious, very good sized rooms, nicely furnished with the most beautiful view of Aldeburgh beach, which is a stones throw from the house, and Moot Hall, a beautiful old Tudor building. There are some lovely pubs and restaurants within a five minute walk. We we're extremely happy and grateful
