1 baths The interior is incredibly well designed with a quality double and a drawer beneath so you can unpack and settle in; there’s a comfy bucket chair, a TV and a wood burning stove as well as an electric radiator to ensure you’re cosy whatever time of the year.
The space
Enjoy meals prepared at home on the two-ring induction hob, or in the microwave, and there’s a drop leaf table with a couple of directors chairs so you can eat inside if the weather’s poor. When you wake to the dawn chorus you can prepare your breakfast with coffee made with the Delonghi Dolce Gusto, a kettle, a toaster and a fridge with a freezer compartment to store your favourite foods in. The smart en-suite shower room has a wash basin, WC, a window and even a heated towel rail with towels waiting for you.
Outside you’ll find a BBQ and a choice of tables, benches and chairs so you can move around to catch the sun and enjoy the landscape. The night skies are also wonderful with the lack of light pollution, so cuddle up close to the fire pit and listen for the owls hooting. If you’re feeling adventurous and want to explore rural and coastal Suffolk, Lily Pad is in a great spot just over two miles from the picturesque seaside town of Aldeburgh and a short drive from the A12 with a maze of cycle routes and footpaths nearby.

Having just returned from a couple of nights here I can honestly say it’s was just prefect. It was so peaceful and quiet just what was needed to switch off from modern life. The description doesn’t do justice to just how nice the hut was. The hosts really thought of everything and have a fantastic eye for detail.

We had a really lovely stay, perfect location where it’s situated close to Aldeburgh & Southwold too. The outdoor space was great especially the bbq & fire pit, with beautiful views. A hidden gem. The hosts were attentive & welcoming. Highly recommend & would definitely visit this air bnb again.

Beautiful location and views from the cabin, well stocked with everything we needed and the fire pit was a great bonus. This is our second stay at Lily Pad, and once again we had a fantastic time. The shepherd hut has everything you could need, with a lovely, comfy bed and an excellent shower. It was so peaceful to relax after a busy day in Orford, and we were lucky enough to have beautiful warm weather, which created an amazing sunset. Sitting by the fire pit with a glass of bubbles was the perfect way to end the day. Jan and Pete were lovely hosts and made us feel so welcome. Thank you so much for our lovely treat — we can’t wait to come back!
