There’s off road parking for two cars at the side of the house too with a Pod Point Solo 3S Charger for electric vehicles.
It can be operated in a manual 'plug-and-charge' mode, which will start charging your car automatically a few moments after it is plugged in. A solid green LED light indicates that your car is charging. There's no charge for this but the owners ask you to be respectful in your usage.
"Could not have been better. The kitchen and sitting room even better in real life than the photos on the website. I do hope to return one day."
Great location for trips to Southwold, lovely dining space outside on the decking with stunning countryside views. Beautiful cottage with plenty of space for large groups with everything we needed.
The house was as described and perfect for our group of eight. Nice location for our trip and the owner was proactive about informing us of some work on the drains that needed to take place whilst we were there.
Ivy House was perfect for our multigenerational holiday. We are a family of 11 with 4 very energetic kids. The house gave us all space to play, be quiet, watch films together, cook while chatting and all eat around the huge table. We loved the whole feel of the house which has clearly been a much loved family home. It felt very comfortable and the slightly ramshackle furnishings and fittings meant that we could relax and not worry about the kids making a mess( if you want a modern, pristine antiseptic place, this maybe isnt for you!) We particularly enjoyed the outside space which is stunning. We saw a barn owl hunting and a kingfisher.Lots to do in the surrounding area. It was a great hit with everyone. Thank you
We had a lovely time in the property. All the bedrooms were well set up & had plenty of space. The communal areas were also lovely with lots of room for kids and adults. The weather wasn’t quite nice enough to take advantage of the garden but it’s an amazing relaxing space. And great location 15 minutes from the coast
From Check in to Check out the whole experience was super. An extremely welcoming venue, very warm, cosy and comfortable with everything that is needed for a Family weekend.
An enjoyable stay in a well appointed house in a beautiful location. Comfortable beds, lots of space to relax inside and out. A well resourced kitchen for light suppers and gin evenings, with local venues in Halesworth and Southwold for lunch and the local pub for a great Sunday Roast. Great spot to base a holiday within easy reach of the coast.
An amazing home and we did so love our stay. As expected, the Bathrooms are a bit old, with a dodgy toilet seat here and a cramped shower there. Only water available in one shower at a time, so be aware and stagger showers for your group. Plenty of hot water though and generous with loo roll and lovely hand wash provided. Whole place could benefit from a cobweb sweep but otherwise floors, bedrooms, kitchen and bathrooms all clean and tidy. Beds very comfy and linen crisp and clean. Kitchen has absolutely everything you would need with great appliances. The older members of the group found the low slung sofas a bit of a struggle (very lovely loaf sofas) maybe a couple of higher seating options would be a nice touch as this seems popular for multi generational family stays. Garden stunning, with beautiful deck and outside dining option. Sadly we never had the weather to enjoy them but would have been amazing. We all want to go back
10 of us (6 adults, 1 teenager, 2 toddlers and a newborn) stayed to celebrate my Mum’s 60th Birthday. The house was welcoming (thank you for the wine!), comfy and had plenty of space for all of us inside and out. It was the best equipped holiday cottage I have ever stayed in. There were all of the utensils/pans you could possibly imagine in the kitchen, even a pasta machine and there were so many children’s toys and books to keep them entertained too. Being in the countryside, we shared the house with some critters, including a Hawk Moth which fascinated the little ones! The house is located near local attractions (we visited Dunwich, Orford, Snape Maltings, Framlingham, Southwold, Thorpeness and Africa Alive, all of which I would recommend). We’d have liked some recommendations for local pubs or attractions left in the house for us for that personal touch or some leaflets as we’ve had in previous holiday cottages. Lovely week had by everyone!
Great family get together made even better by the great accommodation. Really spacious and well equipped for the 10 of us plus baby. Loved the location very peaceful but close enough to the town of Halesworth which was a real gem with all you needed in the form of a good supermarket, deli's cafes and great fish and chips! Whilst we live in west Suffolk it was a real treat to be able to stay in east Suffolk and explore more of the area.

This is an old property with all the associated charm , beams, irregular floors upstairs in one bedroom,. Has a large kitchen and two lounges which are great for a large party . There are two staircases but one is standard and the older one very narrow steps /steep so not for kids or anyone with mobility issues . The beds are comfortable and clean. The bathrooms are basic, clean . There is a well equipped kitchen with many utensils / dishes etc. and additional larder utility room. The kitchen and larder really need reducing of items as there are personal things left eg old bills / coats . There are two log burners and the house felt warm without them for our May visit , although we enjoyed using them. There is a patio with beautiful views across fields. There are two long walks within two mins of the house to either Halesworth or Blyford .
