Felixstowe has lovely beaches, at one end Felixstowe Ferry with its small fishing boats to Felixstowe Port that birth the largest container ships from around the world at the other. It is a lovely walk from Felixstowe Ferry to Felixstowe along the coastal path passed the golf course or along the beach.

Between these there is a beach hut lined promenade with spa gardens, the pier and arcades and the fort. There is a new container shopping village called Beach Street where you can find something scrumptious to eat or a unique locally hand made gift.

Catch the foot ferry from The Ferry over to Bawdsey Quay – explore the other side of estuary and relax on the sandy beach or take a wonder to the Bawdsey Radar Museum and discover the story behind the top-secret conditions that men and women worked in to develop radar, that contributed very significantly to the successful outcome of the Battle of Britain.
