A great family house in a perfect location
Guild House was ideal for a group of 8 on a weekend break in Aldeburgh. Very clean with excellent furnishings and utilities. Just a couple of things: The downstairs wet room seemed to have a drainage problem - water took a long time to drain away. WiFi instructions provided were not for the router in the house? Overall though a really nice property.
We were very worried about the security to the front of the property. The front door lock was easily opened with the key with only a slight turn of the key. The locking snib inside of the door lock wasn’t working, leaving it vulnerable. Would also benefit from a bell or knocker. The glass partition door inside needed to be lifted slightly to engage the lock which wouldn’t lock at first. The ground floor window in the bedroom had to be pushed shut from the outside firstly at the bottom then again at the top, otherwise it wouldn’t close. Intruder alarm not working / available The ground floor bedroom shower room flooded quickly even with a short shower. The floors were very dirty, as were the stools on the kitchen. Some of the kitchen utensils need replacing e.g. frying pans. Overall, despite the above comments, we were very pleased with the stay, the size of the house, location, decor etc. We’ve already booked again for June 26.
The Guild House was a perfect location for my family holiday. An easy walk to all of the amenities of Aldeburgh and a very short stroll to the beach. The house itself has lots of space and light, with different living rooms providing varied social options. Bedrooms are also spacious with good mattresses on all beds and en suite bathrooms. We really appreciated how clean the house was as well, not a dusty corner or cobweb anywhere
Beautiful house. Everything was as described in the listing. Wished we had booked for longer. Will definitely go back again.
Guild House is amazing, lots of room for people to chilli out. The kitchen is well equipped and good for entertaining. It did need some better frying pan as they were well used though. We did feel the bedding and towels could have been of better quality. We had a fantastic family time making memories.
Overall we had a very enjoyable stay. However there are a few things that need to be sorted out: The smell of dog pee on the mat in the main room was very strong when sitting in there. I started to roll it up to put it elsewhere but the floor underneath was impregnated with the same smell so we mostly sat in the other sitting area. I would strongly advise it gets sorted asap. The lights in the kitchen flicker most of the time and the bin in the kitchen has a broken lid so doesn’t shut. It took us half an hour to find the knob for the hob which was on top of the units, so high that it was only seen by our tallest member of the family. It would also be useful to have some instructions on how to use it for those of us that are not familiar with a conduction hob. I did expect more for the money we paid. The rest of the house was fine and suited us well. The whole family had a very enjoyable stay.
The Guild House is a very well equipped and comfortable. The location is fab - thank you Stay in Suffolk!
We were a party of 6 adults and one child and we had a great stay here - the house is really spacious and the location is ideal. Would definitely recommend!

Perfect location between the beach and town. House was great for our group of 4 couples, beds were comfortable and all rooms were en suite. Could had done with a few more mugs tho!
