College Lane Apartment, Bury St Edmunds

Entire home/flat
2 guests
1 bedrooms
1 beds
1 baths
Located in the Medieval part of Bury-St-Edmunds, in the heart of the town yet in a relatively quiet, this stylish and cute ground floor apartment is ideal for a city break or as a base from which to work in the town.

The space

A compact apartment on the corner of Guildhall Street and College Lane where you’d find the door opening directly into a small hallway with the living/kitchen/dining room to the right, bedroom to the left, and shower room ahead of you. Hard flooring runs throughout.

LIVING/KITCHEN/DINING ROOM
Good use has been made of the space in this room with smart kitchen units running along one wall housing an electric Bosch oven with four ring hob and extractor, a washer/dryer, an under-counter fridge with freezer compartment, a toaster and a kettle.
The comfy sofa is positioned so you can watch the TV and there’s a coffee table, as well as a compact dining set with table and two chairs so you can cater at home, or enjoy a take-away from one of the local businesses.

BEDROOM
The double bed sits between bedside units and there’s additional storage in a chest of drawers and a wardrobe. The sofa (previously mentioned) is actually a sofa bed so, if you’d rather not share this bed, you could bring your own bedding (not provided). However, the flat is only available and insured for two guests due to its size.

SHOWER ROOM
A chic modern room with a good sized corner cubicle where there’s a rain shower-head, a WC, wash basin with a vanity unit, and a heated towel rail (towels are provided).

LOCATION
The apartment is an easy walk from the city centre on the corner of Guildhall Street and College Lane (hence the name!) with a pub across the road and all the historic buildings, restaurants, shops and attractions on the close by.
The pretty Guildhall (just up the road), dating back to 1279, is the oldest continuously used civic building in Britain and is open to the public for a range of fascinating exhibitions throughout the year, so do check the dates on the website before booking. It proudly boasts a World War Two Royal Observer Corps Control Centre which is well worth a visit and has some concerts.

There’s restricted parking on Guildhall Street (Ringo location 54408), Charges apply during the day and there’s unrestricted parking from 6pm to 8am. Alternatively, there's parking at Waitrose IP33 3DH but please check their terms and conditions. There's also a large car park behind the cinema.

Really great place to stay. Centrally located, near all the shops and restaurants. The apartment itself is very clean, comfortable, well decorated. a very comfortable bed as well, which helped with a good night sleep. Really excellent host as well, communicated well and gave very clear instructions on how to check in and out. Will definitely come back for my next business trip.

Easy to access property and as described. just a not for other visitors the pub across the road advertises it does food, but they dont. There is a chinese opposite good if you arrive late on the first night. Parking could be a nightmare but I managed to get a space on the street just to unload the car as otherwise would be a bit of a walk with everything. TV was a bit of a faff as all through the wifi and couldnt get it to show normal TV and guide, but could just be me as the user and needed the wifi and access code so had to message to get that. Would stay again though as ideal base to explore Bury and most things walkable.
