The space

You’re welcomed into the hallway with the open tread stairs rising ahead of you (handrail to steady you), the utility room to the right, followed by the shower room and the double bedroom, and the wonderful living space running along the left side of the house with doors opening to the garden at the back.

KITCHEN/LIVING/DINING ROOM
The ideal place to spend special time with family and friends, with doors opening to the garden to maximise indoor/outdoor living in the summer months, and a wood burner for cosy winter stays.
Well-equipped to cater for groups of eight guests, the modern kitchen has a waist-height Bosch electric oven, a fridge/freezer (5 shelves and a veg drawer in the fridge, 2 deep drawers in the freezer) a dishwasher, kettle, toaster, and a four-ring induction hob in the central island which has a couple of bar stools so you can sit and chat to the chef of the family.

Sitting next to the kitchen is an extendable dining table with eight chairs so you can enjoy meals at home and, at the front of the house, is a generous sitting area with an enormous corner sofa where the whole family can kick back and watch a favourite movie on the equally enormous TV. A comfy armchair and selection of books give you the option of a good read.

GROUND FLOOR BEDROOM
Sun streams into this bright room through the window overlooking the garden. A double bed sits between bedside drawers and there’s additional storage in a built-in wardrobe with shelves and hanging space, as well as a dressing table with a chair.

SHOWER ROOM
Conveniently next to the ground floor bedroom, the corner shower cubicle has both a rain shower and a hand-held adjustable shower head, a WC, a wash basin sitting under the window, and a heated towel rail (towels for all guests will be provided.)

UTILITY ROOM
A handy space for beach or sailing gear with a washing machine, a dryer, a microwave and cupboards for coats, shoes etc.

FIRST FLOOR
The stairs rise to the first-floor landing where doors open to the three bedrooms and the family bathroom with a wardrobe with hanging space for all guests to use. The first floor is carpeted, other than the bathrooms which have tiles.

MAIN BEDROOM WITH EN-SUITE SHOWER ROOM
Wake to the sun rising across the fields in this beautiful bright bedroom which has a Juliet balcony so you can open the doors and allow the fresh air in. The upholstered super king-size bed takes pride of place between bedside drawer units. Unpack and settle in with shelves for clothes in built-in cupboards, a cupboard for cases, and a little chair.
EN-SUITE SHOWER ROOM
Cleverly concealed behind the tongue and groove door, this chic room has a double shower cubicle with a rain shower head and a shower wand, a WC, wash basin, heated towel rail and window giving natural light.

DOUBLE BEDROOM
Sitting at the front of the house, this charming bedroom is furnished with a handsome king-size bed, bedside drawers and a shelving unit in the wardrobe.

TWIN BEDROOM
Furnished with sturdy twin beds and bedside tables with ample storage in a chest of drawers, and a low cupboard where you can store your suitcases.

FAMILY BATHROOM
A wide window above the bath allows light to flood into this bathroom which has a WC, wash basin, and heated towel rail.

GARDEN
A wide gravel drive sits at the front of the house with space for three cars and there’s a step up to the front door. The casual garden at the back is primarily laid to lawn and has a large, raised deck where the outdoor table and benches are in the shade of the beautiful cherry tree. A fence partially divides the garden from the field but it’s fully secure so children and dogs will need to be supervised and there's a charcoal BBQ (please supply briquettes).

We loved our stay here in Alderton; the house was well appointed for 2 families and had everything we needed. We loved the garden and used the table outside a lot. The house was clean and there was plenty of parking. It was a little tricky getting out of the driveway as the house is on a bend and oncoming traffic went past at quite a speed! However that was the only thing we would fault as the house is perfect for a break in Suffolk.

Lots of information about the bins but no bin bags. Bins put out as requested but general refuse not collected. No hot water due to Hive controller being switched off. Lovely peaceful location, the house is light and airy (very welcome due to heatwave). Downstairs bedroom and bathroom was great for our elderly relative. Plenty of room for everyone.

Fantastic open plan house which suited our large family gathering. Bedrooms are spacious and beautifully decorated and overall ambiance is welcoming. Good location for exploring coastline.

The house size for our family of eight was great! Spacious and comfortable with tons of kitchen utensils. But the down side was when we arrived you can tell the house was locked up for sometime without a proper clean before we got in. Seems like the cleaners don’t know what they are doing, as bathroom mirrors were smeared as well as dust, dead flies and spiders throughout the house. Seems like the property was cleaned but weeks before we arrived so floors and rugs were dirty and not freshly hovered. Overall the location was beautiful, out in the country side. The rooms were a great size and living room fit everyone comfortably.

The property was beautiful, pictures do not do it justice, I felt relaxed as though I was in my own home. The property was very large with a lovely local town only 15 minutes drive away. The host graciously allowed us to check in 2 hours early at no extra cost which was amazing. we will definitely book this property again in the future.

This was a great place for our family (4 kids, grandma and parents). We loved the open plan layout. It is pretty central to other places by car. We shot off to Sutton Hoo one day and the beach on another. Good area for a jog one morning also. The place is well decked out with plenty of towels, kitchen utensils (meant cooking was very doable) and a big TV screen for movie night.
