Vineyards in Suffolk Worth Visiting in the Summer

Valley Farm Vineyard

Valley Farm Vineyard has been around since 1987. The current owner Adrian Cox bought the vineyard in 2021 and their family have lived in Suffolk for many generations. Their wine has also achieved a prestigious WineGB gold medal meaning it is in the top 10% of wines produced in Britain and Wales. That’s certainly a big achievement.

Shotley Vineyard

The 16 acre farm has recently just produced their first vintage. Their 2022 Pinot Noir Rosè is a popular option amongst visitors. They also offer a variety of events and visitor options for guests including an afternoon tea, smokehouse meat and pizza on the vines.

Giffords Hall Vineyard

This vineyard is well known for their minimal intervention growing technique. They produce a variety of wines including sparkling wines, whites, reds and even liqueurs. There’s plenty for visitors to do and see including their Giffords Cafe, cellar door shop and wine tasting experiences.

Flint Vineyard

The vineyard covers 26,000 vines across 6 hectares. It has also innovated with methods in the winery and products such as the Charmat Rosé, the first sparkling wine to be made using the Charmat method, most commonly used in Prosecco. There’s plenty to do with their shop and tasting garden.

Shawsgate Vineyard is one of the oldest vineyards in Suffolk, with ranges including everything from white, red, rosé as well as English sparkling wines. They have a variety of tour options for small and large groups, as well as a cheese and wine event. If you’re in the Woodbridge area in Suffolk then this should definitely be on your must-visit list.
