The Dolphin, Thorpeness
The Dolphin Inn in Thorpeness is a short distance from the beach and is an ideal place to relax following a coastal wander. It has a large beer garden that is perfect for dogs to chill in, otherwise the snug bar is also dog friendly.
Deben Inns Group
The Deben Inns group consists of six different pubs, each with a welcoming atmosphere and fantastic pub, and all dog friendly. The Butt and Oyster at Pin Mill even stocks dog treats, and has lovely waterfront views of the Orwell River. The Swan at Westerfield is known for its delicious food and friendly vibe.
The Plough and Sail, Snape Maltings
This pub is a great place to stop for a bite to eat before one of Aldeburgh Music’s concerts as dogs are allowed in the bar area. It’s a large friendly pub with superb food.
Aldrignham Parrot
With its wonky walls and wooden beams this 500-year-old pub is soaked in history which bring charm to the restaurant. Check out Outside Inn for another great place to dine whilst at The Parrot. The pub is dog friendly – just make sure you ring up beforehand to let them know you’re bringing your four-legged friend.
The Mason’s Arms
The Mason’s Arms is a Greene King pub set right in the centre of Bury St Edmunds. It is a traditional pub that offers great local ales and high quality food for the whole family. It also boasts one of the best outdoor spaces in the centre of town, perfect for a drink on a summer’s day. Dogs are welcome both inside and out.
The Ship Inn, Dunwich
The Ship Inn is the perfect place to escape to on a lazy Sunday with the pooch. It’s a sister establishment to The Westleton Crown, both of which are dog friendly and even have a dedicated walk between the two pubs. They’ll welcome your canine companion with a bowl of water and dog biscuits.
The Dog, Grundisburgh
Dogs are more than welcome in every part of this pub, and will likely be snuck a treat or two by the friendly staff. There are plenty of drink options including 13 beers on draft, over 30 gins and an extensive wine list.
The Harbour Inn, Southwold
A favourite with locals and visitors alike! The Harbour Inn offers a warm and relaxed atmosphere, welcoming families and dogs. There’s a spacious garden with views towards the expansive common and town centre. Enjoy freshly caught fish of the day and other traditional pub classics.
The Mill Inn, Aldeburgh
The Mill Inn is the perfect place for you and your pup to enjoy a relaxing pint. The inn is a stone’s throw away from the coast and we recommend taking the dog for a walk along Crag Path. Food is reasonably priced and they offer a brilliant selection of ales and lagers.
