This vacation home rental in Suffolk is ideal for two people who love the countryside but want style and space, less than two hours away from London by car.

Come enjoy the romance and quiet of the countryside in our finely curated space, Gallery at Abbey Hall.
Less than two hours from London, Gallery at Abbey Hall is the perfect getaway for those who love the country, space and style.
Abbey Hall is on the site of the former Benedictine Priory of St Peter built in 1011. The former Abbey Farm Barn was Listed at Risk in 1974 and has been under the watchful eye of English Heritage and Suffolk Archaeology. The Barn was used as a working dairy, then livestock farm until falling into disuse, when it was bought and the house was developed and the “Barn” was revived as an open space for events and exhibitions.
Following many years of careful navigation of heritage, archaeology and building control, the buildings was successfully restored to create a unique place that breathes through 1000 years.

What an incredible space! We stayed at the Gallery in Abbey Hall just before the second lockdown, and it really exceeded all our expectations. The location, the beautifully designed space, and our considerate hosts helped us feel like we could truly unwind ‘away from it all’. The Gallery is sure to charm any lover of unique, rustic, thoughtfully curated design. SoniaAirbnb
The Gallery at Abbey Hall is a unique and magical place to stay. This converted barn is an impressive space, with history in its stones. Especially now, when everyone is stuck inside, it gives an extraordinary sense of airiness and light, and the opportunity to feel liberated. A huge wood burning stove adds to the atmosphere and keeps the place warm, though there are also other heaters. The downstairs area offers really grand dining while upstairs is for relaxing. It’s nice to be in the gallery surrounded by art – and the bedroom area is really cosy. SarahAirbnb
The design of the barn is breathtaking. We kept having to pinch ourselves and check if this was really the place we were staying as it was so special. The scenery is so gorgeous that looking out one of the windows onto the church and meadows was like a mini-painting. It was great fun to have to stoke the fires everyday and experience country living by the hearth. The local pubs and restaurants that Gary and Olivia recommended to us were all of really high quality with wonderful service and ambience and we even got a local caterer to deliver delicious food to the door. This is un unforgettable and unmissable place to stay!
